Ryan calls McGuinty's bluff: "New jobs fund smoke and mirrors"

Oshawa jobs at-risk under new McGuinty plan

    OSHAWA, ON, Sept. 5 /CNW Telbec/ - Dalton McGuinty's jobs strategy is
failing workers in Oshawa and resulting in more job loss in the auto sector
and economic insecurity for the whole community, says Oshawa NDP candidate Sid
Ryan.
Ryan will outline the NDP's worker-focused jobs strategy at a media
conference Thursday, September 6, 2007 - 11:30 a.m., in front of the GM Truck
plant - Gate 8 - Park Rd. entrance.
Ryan calls a recent McGuinty announcement touting a $650 million 'green
jobs' fund (Next Generation Jobs Fund) spread over several years 'smoke and
mirrors'.
"The announcement is so vague that you can drive a truck through it. This
community is bleeding jobs. McGuinty has to come clean and tell Oshawa workers
the truth about how he is going to protect their jobs," says Ryan.
