Royals Send Best Wishes to Beatles Festival

ORILLIA, ON, Sept. 10 /CNW/ - Prince William and Prince Harry have sent
their "very best wishes" to the organizers of the inaugural Orillia Beatles
Celebration.
In correspondence dated August 14, 2007, the Princes' Private Secretary
wrote that "The Princes were very interested to hear about the festival and
the funds you hope it will raise to support the Canadian Landmine Foundation
and Adopt-A-Minefield in their work of ridding the world of landmines and
providing support to landmine survivors."
The Celebration, to be held in Orillia, Ontario, Canada on September 21
to 23, 2007, is the first community-based Beatles festival in Canada. It will
actively raise funds for its sole charity, the Canadian Landmine Foundation.
The landmines issue was a key concern of the late Princess Diana.
The Princes' letter follows on a letter of welcome and thanks by Sir Paul
McCartney to the 2006 Toronto Beatles Celebration, the predecessor to this
year's Orillia event.
