Drinkwater has joined the firm as Chairman of Rothschild Canada. Mr.
Drinkwater will be based in Toronto, and will be responsible for all of
Rothschild's Canadian operations. With offices in Montreal and Toronto,

Over the course of his business career, Mr. Drinkwater has led senior
business, financial and legal teams at major Canadian companies such as
Nortel, Ontario Power Generation, and Bell Canada.

Mr. Drinkwater has had a distinguished legal and business career. He
joined Nortel in December 2005 as Chief Legal Officer and a member of their
Senior Leadership Team. From May to November 2007, he served as Nortel's
Acting Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, he worked at Ontario Power
Generation which he joined in 1998 as an Executive Vice President with
responsibilities for corporate development and legal affairs and was later
appointed Chief Financial Officer. Before then, he worked at Bell Canada where
he served as Special Advisor on strategic planning and corporate development
to the Chairman and CEO of Bell Canada. He had also served as Group Vice
President, Law and General Counsel for Bell Canada.
Mr. Drinkwater started his business career as a lawyer with the law firm
of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt in Toronto and London, England, where he worked
for more than 20 years. He headed the law firm's Corporate Department and the
Securities Practice Group and was Managing Partner of Osler Renault, its
Mr. Drinkwater attended the Richard Ivey School of Business at the
University of Western Ontario where he obtained an Honours Bachelor of
Business Degree. He also holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from Dalhousie
University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and a Masters of Law Degree from the London
School of Economics at the University of London in London, England.
