River, which would include four power stations along the river and the
creation of new reservoirs covering an expanse of approximately 275 km2. There
are also plans to build an access road of roughly 160 km to link Route 138 to
the site.

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency administers the federal
environmental assessment process, which identifies the environmental effects
of proposed projects and measures to address those effects, in support of
sustainable development.
