What: Rocky Mountaineer Vacations announces the official launch of the
second season of the Whistler Mountaineer. Accredited print and broadcast
media are welcome to come aboard (or participate in the wave off) for this
world-class train experience. For media who are unable to participate in the
entire trip the train will make an extra stop in Porteau Cove to allow film
crews to disembark.
When: Boarding begins on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. (train departs
at 8:30 a.m.)
Where: Vancouver, B.C. - The train leaves from the North Vancouver
platform, located at the corner of Philip Avenue and West 1st Street. This is
south of Marine Drive and west of Pemberton Avenue - approximately three
blocks west of the former BC Rail passenger station.

Beginning May 1 and running until October 14, 2007, the Whistler
Mountaineer offers northbound and southbound departures, seven days a week.
Travelling northbound, the Whistler Mountaineer departs from the North
Vancouver station at 8:30 a.m. and arrives in Whistler at 11:30 a.m. The
southbound departure is scheduled to leave Whistler at 3:00 p.m. and arrives
back in North Vancouver at 6:00 p.m. Following the famous Sea to Sky corridor,
this three-hour train experience is a link between two world-class
destinations, showcasing Vancouver to Whistler like never before.
