Robert Elensky and Dean Thrasher response to Mint Technology Corp claim

/NOT FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES OR TO ANY UNITED STATES NEWS
    SERVICES/

    TORONTO, Jan. 21 /CNW/ - On January 18, 2008, Mint Technology Corp.
("Mint") issued a press release advising that it had issued a claim against
Robert Elensky and Dean Thrasher, former officers and directors of Mint, for
improper actions claiming $600,000 and costs. A majority of the board of
directors of Mint has recently resigned and Mint is in a weakened financial
position.
Messrs. Elensky and Thrasher, who have not seen this claim, are of the
view that, as described in the press release, the claim is completely without
merit and may be vindictive in nature. They have engaged legal counsel, will
assess the claim and plan to launch a substantial counterclaim.
