RJK Explorations Flies Airborne Mag Survey of Claims in the Magma Metals Platinum-Palladium-Copper-Nickel Discovery Camp, Thunder Bay North

KIRKLAND LAKE, ON, April 2 /CNW/ - RJK Explorations Ltd. (RJX.A: TSXV)
("RJK") is pleased to announce that it has completed a helicopter-borne Tri
Axial Mounted Gradiometer Survey of the Dorion South property in the Magma
Metals Platinum-Palladium Discovery Camp, 60 km northeast of Thunder Bay.
The initial field data indicates that there are several extensive areas
of high magnetic signals within the claim group, one of which corresponds to 3
short (averaging 135 foot depth) and widely spaced drill holes drilled in 1965
which had intersected and ended in peridotite and containing chalcopyrite
specks (from OJA Exploration Drill Management Diamond Drill Logs, October
1965). A map showing the final airborne data will be posted on the Company's
website once it is received.
Based on these magnetic results, RJK has contracted Geotech Inc. to fly
their VTEM Time Domain EM System over the property to help locate discrete
conductive anomalies and map lateral and vertical variations in resistivity.
RJK is extremely encouraged by the survey and the historic drill results which
may represent areas of mafic-ultramafic intrusions that have the potential to
host Ni-Cu-PGM deposits similar to the Magma Metals discovery located
approximately 19 km west of RJK's property or other magmatic deposits such as
Kennecott Explorations' "Eagle Deposit", a Ni-Cu-PGM deposit located in a
small Keweenawan Peridotite intrusion on the south side of Lake Superior. The
Eagle deposit contains an indicated resource of 3.6Mt of 3.8% Ni, 3.0% Cu.
1.6g/t Pt+Pd+Au.
The majority of the Magma Metals drilling results to date have been in
disseminated sulphide mineralization; however, recent drilling has encountered
massive sulphides... i.e. "a subtle magnetic anomaly between the Current Lake
and Beaver Lake areas. The western end of this anomaly is coincident with
net-textured and massive sulphides intersected in drill-hole TBND136 which
returned 6.0m @ 11.62g/t Pt+Pd, 2.19% Cu & 0.92% Ni, including 0.65m @
38.00g/t Pt+Pd, 8.90% Cu & 1.29% Ni" (from Magma Metals Limited News Release,
dated March 19, 2009).
RJK considers the Magma Metals Platinum-Palladium Thunder Bay North
Discovery to be one of the more significant discoveries in Ontario over the
last few years. The length of the intersections, the 1-1 ratio of Platinum to
Palladium combined with good values in Copper and Nickel, and its readily
accessible location all indicate the immense potential for this Discovery and
the rest of the Camp. The prospects for the discovery of other similar
deposits in mafic-ultramafic intrusions in the area along the East-West trend
are considered to be excellent.
