Agricultural auction business continues to grow with third sale this year
LONDON, ON, Sept. 3 /CNW/ - Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE and TSX:
RBA), the world's largest industrial auctioneer, will conduct a large, public
unreserved agricultural auction at its new permanent auction site in London,
Ontario on Friday, September 18, 2009 starting at 9:00 a.m. (EST). The
upcoming auction will mark the Company's third auction at the site since it
opened in April. The London site is one of 39 Ritchie Bros. auction sites
"The growth we've experienced at our new London auction site so far this
year has far exceeded our expectations," said Bryan Dykstra, Regional Manager,
Ritchie Bros. "There is obviously a need in the region for a fair, transparent
means of buying and selling agricultural equipment, and we seem to fit that
need. The fact that we've been so well-received by the local agricultural
community has also played a big part in helping us develop our auction
business here and we're very pleased with the customer relationships we've
built along the way."
A large selection of agricultural equipment will be sold at the September
18 auction in London, including 2WD, 4WD and MFWD tractors, combines,
harvesters, headers, discs, spreaders and seeding and spraying equipment. Some
of the highlight items include three unused 2008 New Holland T9040 4WD
tractors with 535 hp and a number of other late model Kubota, New Holland and
John Deere tractors. The auction will be unreserved with no minimum bids or
reserve prices; each item will be sold to the highest bidder on auction day,
regardless of price.
