Ritchie Bros. returning to Chemainus to conduct large unreserved forestry equipment auction



    Auction features unused and late model Madill logging equipment

    CHEMAINUS, BC, Sept. 18 /CNW/ - Next week, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers will
return to Chemainus, B.C. to conduct another large forestry equipment auction
at the former Doman mill site (on September 22, 2008). The unreserved public
auction features more than 700 items, including a large selection of late
model and unused Madill logging equipment. Everything will be sold to the
highest bidders on September 22nd, regardless of price.
    The auction includes a major realignment for Ted Leroy Trucking Ltd. and
equipment from Hayes Forest Services and other owners. Among the highlights:
two unused 2008 Madill 2850C log loaders, an unused 2008 Madill 2250C tilt
feller buncher, two 2004 Madill HT2250B processors, four Madill 124 interlock
grapple yarders - and two De Havilland DHC2 Beaver float planes. The auction
also includes a wide variety of construction and transportation equipment.
    "We're selling an exceptional lineup of equipment on Monday - and it's
all going to the highest bidders on auction day, regardless of price," said
Jake Lawson, Ritchie Bros. Regional Manager. "The auction site is full of good
quality used forestry, transportation and construction equipment, as well as a
large selection of unused Madill logging gear. We're even selling three

    On April 22nd this year, Ritchie Bros. conducted a large forestry
equipment auction at the same site in Chemainus. That auction featured more
than 470 items, attracting more than 1,700 registered bidders - including
buyers from as far away as New Zealand.
