Reminder - The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) seminar - Media invitation (Day 3)

LAVAL, QC, April 29 /CNW Telbec/ - What do you do when someone makes fun
of your artificial limb or calls you "peg leg" at school?
Child amputees from across Quebec will get the answers today and learn to
deal with other issues of growing up as an amputee during the Growing up with
CHAMP Session. Younger Champs will have the chance to talk about things like
teasing and staring, in a forum-like discussion. Older Champs will offer
advice and suggestions on how they dealt with the same situations while
growing up.

questions: "What do I do when people stare at my
artificial limb? What do I say when people tease
me? How do I answer all the questions I get about
my amputation? With the guidance of the Junior
Counselling Team, the Champs do a wonderful job
relaying their experiences to one another. By
offering advice and tips on the many aspects of
living with amputation, the youngsters and teens
in CHAMP are continuing the tradition of "amputees
                           helping amputees."
