Reminder - Media Invitation - Unveiling of the Very First Green Plan in the History of the Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Borough



    MONTREAL, June 3 /CNW Telbec/ - The very first Green Plan in the history
of the Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (CDN-NDG) borough will be unveiled
at 10 a.m. this morning at Les-Enfants-du-Monde elementary school. Borough
Mayor Michael Applebaum will present the seven goals and 49 concrete actions
outlined in the Green Plan, all aimed at making CDN-NDG an environmentally
responsible community.
    Students at Les-Enfants-du-Monde school, the recent winner of the
borough's 2008 Keeping My School Clean contest, will attend the launch of the
Green Plan. Les-Enfants-du-Monde school is recognized for its innovative
environmental efforts, including planting trees, growing a vegetable garden,
tending a flower garden and making and using compost.

    The launch will feature a number of interesting visual elements, as it is
being held outdoors, in front of the school's garden. Mr. Applebaum,
Ms. Tardif, Les-Enfants-du-Monde school principal, and a number of children
will be available for interviews.
