REMAINS TO BE SEEN: Artistic Responses to Genocide Around the World



    Multimedia Art Exhibit Features Artists From Across North America

    TORONTO, May 25 /CNW/ - Please join The International Institute for
Genocide and Human Rights Studies for the opening of "Remains to be Seen", an
art exhibit featuring 16 emerging and established North American artists. The
exhibit, part of the Institute's genocide awareness and education program, is
a result of an open call for submissions seeking to display artistic
interpretations of genocide and its impact on societies around the world.
Award-winning curator Rhonda Corvese will oversee the exhibit and will be
available for interviews at the opening and upon request.

    
    Time:        6:00 p.m. Live Auction (Invited VIP guests to attend, media
                 welcome)
                 7:00 p.m. Exhibit Opening (media welcome)
                 Note: All artists will be present for opening night

    Date:        Thursday, May 28, 2009 (exhibit runs through Sunday
                 June 7th, 2009)
