Relief for Retirees



    TORONTO, April 21 /CNW/ - This morning, before the House of Commons
Standing Committee on Finance, Susan Eng, CARP Vice President, Advocacy,
called for immediate repair to Canada's pension system. Eng said that 3,700
responded to a CARP poll with overwhelming support for a universal pension for
the nearly one in three Canadians without adequate retirement savings. Eng
also called for a two-year moratorium on mandated RRIF withdrawals and
unlocking of Locked-in-Funds.
