Reader's Digest Ranks At The Top For Overall Readership - Canada's No 1 multi-generational magazine

MONTREAL, March 29 /CNW Telbec/ - According to the latest Print
Measurement Bureau (PMB) results released today and in spite of a highly
competitive environment for magazine publishing, Reader's Digest has
accomplished a rare feat: Not only does the monthly maintain the top position
for readership among all magazines, it is also number one in all age
categories.
"Reader's Digest is the preferred choice of baby boomers as well as
members of generations X and Y!" said Peter Stockland, Vice-President and
Editor-in-Chief, Reader's Digest. "These results demonstrate how much our
editorial team is in touch with the aspirations and tastes of Canadians of
whom 7 085 000 read our magazine each month."
The Print Measurement Bureau reports that Reader's Digest is read by 31%
of English Canadians over 12 years of age. On top of being Canada's most
widely read magazine, it ranks first in the all-important engagement and
involvement metrics with an average time spent of 70 minutes per issue. This
reading time score is significantly higher than that of any other English
Canadian magazine measured by PMB.
"This is not surprising. Reader's Digest has always been able to connect
with readers of all ages," said Larry Thomas, Vice-President, Publisher,
Reader's Digest Magazines (Canada) Limited. "Our magazine ranks first in
readership for teens (12-17 year olds), young adults (18-34 year olds), baby
boomers and adults aged 55 plus. It is truly Canada's leading
multi-generational magazine."

A Canadian institution for nearly 60 years, Reader's Digest Canada is the
publisher of Reader's Digest, Sélection du Reader's Digest and Our Canada.
