TORONTO, April 2 /CNW/ - Last night's broadcast of The 2007 JUNO Awards
on CTV finished with a national audience of 912,000 viewers(*). Broadcast in
High Definition and 5.1 Surround Sound from the Credit Union Centre in
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, the two-hour special reached 3.7 million Canadians
who tuned in at some point in the broadcast.
At 9 p.m. ET, 1.08 million viewers watched a special two-hour episode of
The Amazing Race out of simulcast and airing on CTV.
"We're proud of bringing the best of Canadian music to a national
audience. Congratulations to Nelly and all the performers who dazzled in this
two-hour show," said Susanne Boyce, CTV's President of Programming and Chair
of the CTV Media Group. "Up against a ratings juggernaut in The Amazing Race

CTV's half-hour pre-show eTalk at the JUNOS attracted 550,000 viewers for
its red carpet arrivals special at 6:30 p.m. Hosted by Ben Mulroney and Tanya
Kim, the star-studded special featured appearances by, among others, host
Nelly Furtado, Nickelback, Jim Cuddy, Billy Talent, Hedley, Three Days Grace,
Alexisonfire, Tomi Swick, Mobile, DJ Champion, Sloan and Keshia Chanté. eTalk
continues their exclusive coverage of the 2007 JUNO Awards - including
interviews from backstage in the exclusive eTalk Pontiac Lounge - with a
30-minute wrap-up special tonight from Saskatoon at 7 p.m. ET on CTV.
