WHAT: For the first time in history, Antarctica sees three
airborne humans soar over its skies. Jumping at a height
of 13,500 feet and with a thermal temperature of -70
degrees Celsius, Lopez, Corella and Bulto make a
spectacular flight in formation and reach the impact zone
                    safely on a glacier below.

WHO: Toni Lopez, Santi Corella, and Alvaro Bulto have become
the first sportsmen in history to make a flight over the
most inhospitable part of the planet: Antarctica

    WHERE: Cerro Nevado, Antarctica

BACKGROUND: The members of the Proyecto Alas team have been the first
in history to achieve the feat of flying over Antarctica.
The three sportsmen already made parachuting history in
June 2005, when they made the longest human flight in
history, flying over the Strait of Gibraltar for six
minutes and covering a distance of 20,448 metros. Just
over six months ago they became the first jumpers to fly
                    over the geographical North Pole.
