QUEBEC CITY, March 10 /CNW Telbec/ - The Parents-Action Committee invites
the representatives of the media to a press conference at the Ursuline
Monastery in Quebec City. On this occasion, the Committee will make known
their requests of the leaders of the political parties, during this electoral
period, in view of obtaining religious freedom in the schools.
The Parents-Action Committee was recently formed and wishes to
demonstrate, to the political candidates during the election campaign, its
resolution to maintain acquired rights for parents to choose the religious
education of their children. The Parents-Action Committee has the support of
other provincial organizations and lay people committed to civil liberty and

Gary Caldwell, sociologist will give an overview of the progressive loss
of civil and religious freedoms in Quebec for parents.
The Parents-Action Committee and citizens' groups will make known the
requests they have made of the leaders of the political parties.
