"Backed by the success of our dynamic media at food courts and the ever-
growing demand on the part of advertisers, Neo Advertising is in the
process of reinventing the look of advertising in shopping centers across
Canada offering a new way of reaching out to consumers."
Benjamin Mathieu, CEO - Neo Advertising Canada
MONTREAL, Sept. 19 /CNW Telbec/ - The Swiss group Neo Advertising, whose
North American head office is located in Montreal, is proud to announce an
investment of some $5 million in the installation of the largest and most
modern, specialized network of digital screens for advertising signage in
Neo Advertising, which is already the leading operator of advertising
digital signage networks in Canada, is confirming the roll-out of 300 new
digital screens in shopping centers across the country. These are
high-definition (LCD-HD), 46-inch screens, skilfully positioned in groups of
two, within food courts. On one of the screens, consumers have access to the
latest news-current events - sports - weather - health issues - while on the
other, they are encouraged to take a look at the 15-minute loop of
And that's not all ! In late November, 500 more LCD screens will be
installed, for a grand total of 800 high-definition, digital advertising media
that will help consumers who do their shopping at the 77 most modern shopping
malls in Canada. This is an investment in Neo Advertising's very own
technology-the Food Court Live(C)-which targets the 14 million consumers who
go to shopping mall food courts every week.
For Neo Advertising Canada, this is the confirmation of its leadership
role within the industry. "We had set ourselves performance and reliability
objectives, and we surpassed them, and so today, we have a powerful national
digital signage network with an unsurpassed efficiency which has already
proven its worth and makes it possible for us to contemplate incredible new
development prospects," stated Benjamin Mathieu, CEO - Neo Advertising Canada.
This new, ultra-modern advertising showcase that capitalizes on shopper

In 2008, welcome to the world of Shopping Centre Live !
Backed by the success of the Food Court Live(C), Neo Advertising wants to
continue its expansion and is planning a $10 million investment in launching
Shopping Centre Live(C) - a brand new advertising product reflecting consumer
habits-with the difference, this time, being that the high-definition digital
screens will be used not only at food courts but also in the common areas of
the shopping centers. "Negotiations are already in progress with a number of
shopping center developers and we plan to begin our first installations in
early 2008," added Mr. Mathieu.
For Digital Display & Communications (DDC) and Envision-two of the main
strategic sub-contractors of this Swiss company-it's a matter of making life
easier for millions of avid shoppers looking for information who, day after
day, walk up and down the shopping centers in search of new ideas, services or
consumer goods. "Our expertise in installation and maintenance of digital
signage networks has made it possible for us to share Neo Advertising's vision
and create a new and extremely stimulating alliance," says Stuart Kirkpatrick,
President and CEO of Digital Display & Communications. "For us, designing and
making the various component parts to be used for supporting and mounting the
screens for Neo Advertising is a wonderful challenge and a very rewarding
experience," added Brien Hayes, CEO of Envision.
With this new investment, Neo Advertising now wants to enhance the value
of-and even increase-media spending in shopping malls. "The idea is a very
simple one: we must guide, advise and accompany consumers as soon as they open
the door and enter the mall. With this revolution in digital signage, we're
getting ready for the shopping mall of tomorrow... the digital shopping mall,"
Benjamin Mathieu, the Canadian CEO of the Swiss group.
