/R E P E A T/ - Media Advisory - The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal welcomes Charles Lapointe, president and CEO, Tourisme Montréal

"The highs and lows of Montreal tourism"

MONTREAL, Jan. 29 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to
attend the business luncheon of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal on
Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at Hyatt Regency Montréal, at noon. Charles
Lapointe, president and CEO, Tourisme Montréal, will be our guest speaker.
Tourism is fundamental to Montreal's economic development. Tourisme
Montréal's strategies to position our brand in foreign target markets have
been successful. However, the sky is clouding over: tourists are changing,
opting for different destinations, competition is fierce and cultural and
tourism initiatives are lacking in Montreal.
Mr. Lapointe will share his view of the situation and discuss ways for
Montreal to become a destination of choice for tourists from the world over.

The speech will be delivered mainly in French.

    Date: Tuesday, January 30, 2007

    Location: Hyatt Regency Montréal
              1255 Jeanne-Mance Street
              Montreal

Time: From noon to 2 p.m.
              Speech - 12:15 p.m.

The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal has some 7,000 members. Its

Greater Montreal and to provide individuals, merchants, and businesses of all
