Forty speakers - Information Security Competition - New Talent

MONTREAL, Feb. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Mr. Yves Sanssouci, President and CEO of
CRIM, is pleased to announce that the 2008 edition of CRIM's Crystal Ball
Conference will welcome Mr. Michael S. Dell, CEO and chairman of Dell inc.,
Dr. David Suzuki, CEO of The David Suzuki Foundation, and over forty speakers
from Canada, the United States and Europe.
The event will be under the honorary co-chairmanship of Mr.
Thierry Vandal, President and CEO, Hydro-Québec, and Ms. Julie Payette,
astronaut, Canadian Space Agency. This fifth edition will take place on
February 26 and 27, 2008, at Montreal's Palais des Congrès, with over 1,000
leaders from the Information Technology (IT) industry, the business world as
well as companies and public and semi-public organisations in attendance.
The 2008 Crystal Ball Conference will deal with the following themes:
- The challenge of the environment and IT's role
- Trends and assessment of technological innovations
- The evolving talent profile and IT labour challenges
- Information security: governance and service assurance in an open

This 5th Edition will pay special attention to the next generation in IT.
The Interuniversity/Intercollegiate Information Security Competition will
oppose twenty student teams from Canada, France and the United States.
Facilitated by Denis Talbot from the Musique Plus' show M. Net, this
competition will offer more than $5,000 in prizes! What's more, students will
have many opportunities to participate in the CRIM 2008 Crystal Ball
Conference: as panel members, as the guests of event partners and as
presenters during the cocktail.
The objective of the CRIM 2008 Crystal Ball Conference is to enable
leaders to come to a better understanding of the impact of new IT applications
on better business decision making, through the acquisition of new knowledge
and the confirmation of their business vision and strategy. Firmly focused on
the medium and long term, the conference examines trends in technological
innovation as well as the concrete means for improved business performance and
