    STORY SUMMARY:
Nearly 100 volunteers and support staff from the Stampede have arrived in
Quebec City, ready to:
    - honour the soldiers and families of CFB Valcartier
    - celebrate the 400th anniversary of Quebec City, and
    - rejoice at the annual Mr. Christie's Quebec Carnival.

The Stampede's mission over the next days will be to not only show
respect and admiration for our men and women in military uniform, it will also
celebrate the diverse cultures of two great Canadian communities and the
harmony they share.
One of the most exciting events will be a special free Stampede barbecue
at CFB Valcartier on Feb. 8. This is a Stampede tribute to the men and women
in uniform and their families. Well over 1,000 military personnel and their
families are going to be in attendance as the Stampede honours the dedication
of the troops who preserve the freedoms that we enjoy as Canadians.
