/R E P E A T -- "Pre-Nuit" kicks off Scotiabank Nuit Blanche/

What: The "Pre-Nuit" event will welcome many of the artists of
Scotiabank Nuit Blanche 2008 and thank them for sharing their
creativity and vision. The evening will feature remarks from
key supporters, stunning performances by aerialists and
displays by young artists who will be participating in
              Scotiabank Nuit Blanche 2008.

Why: Scotiabank Nuit Blanche is a free city-wide sunset-to-sunrise
celebration of art. For one sleepless night the familiar is
discarded and Toronto is transformed into an artistic
playground, as contemporary art installations are found
unlikely places throughout the city. Also, Toronto museums,
galleries, art venues, neighbourhoods and institutions open
their doors for one night only - all night long.

An annual signature event for the City of Toronto, Scotiabank
Nuit Blanche returns on October 4, 2008.
