Winnipeg's Alison Gereta raises money for the Heart and Stroke
Foundation(R) with a hand from Sunkist's "Take a Stand(R)" program
WINNIPEG, July 8 /CNW/ -
WHAT: Alison Gereta (9) joins hundreds of kids from across the
country this summer by "taking a stand" for a cause she cares
about thanks to support from Sunkist Growers.
Encouraging future philanthropists and entrepreneurs, Sunkist's
"Take a Stand" program squeezes some fun into summer by giving
kids the tools to support a charity of their choice by selling
freshly-squeezed Sunkist lemonade.
Alison pledged online at www.sunkist.com/takeastand to sell
freshly-squeezed lemonade to benefit the Heart and Stroke
Foundation as a way to honour her father who passed away.
Alison's family and friends have offered to help her as she
raises funds for this cause throughout the summer. With her
lemonade stand, Alison will be able to make a difference one
glass at a time.
