    TORONTO, Feb. 25 /CNW/ - Anousheh Ansari the World's First Female Private
Space Explorer and Chairman, CEO & Co-founder of Prodea Systems, Inc. will
make her first public appearance in Toronto. She will be at the Ontario
Science Centre to present a lecture and multi-presentation about space and to
participate in the official opening of the newly renovated Space Hall.

    
    WHAT:     Lecture and Opening of new Space Hall. Anousheh Ansari will
              give a lecture and multi-media presentation about her stay
              onboard the International Space Station.
              The free lecture and the tour of the renovated Space Hall are
              open to the media.

              Note:    There will be no filming allowed of the multi-media
                       presentation and lecture.
                       Tickets to the lecture are available on a limited
                       basis and must be pre-booked. Please reserve your seat
                       as soon as possible.

    WHO:      On September 18, 2006, Anousheh Ansari became the first female
              private space explorer and the first astronaut of Iranian
              descent. Ms. Ansari is chairman, CEO and co-founder of Prodea
              Systems, a company that will unleash the power of the Internet
              to all consumers and dramatically alter and simplify consumer's
              digital living experience. Ms. Ansari is a member of the
              X Prize Foundation's Vision Circle and Board of Trustees. She
              is a life member in the Association of Space. She has received
              multiple honours, including the World Economic Forum Young
              Global Leader, the Working Woman's National Entrepreneurial
              Excellence Award, George Mason University's Entrepreneurial
              Excellence Award, George Washington University's Distinguished
              Alumni Achievement Award, and the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of
              the Year Award. She lives in the United States and is currently
              working toward a master's degree in astronomy from Swinburne
              University.

    WHAT:     The newly renovated Space Hall, is where visitors can see a
              real Moon rock, pilot a rocket chair, take a tour of the solar
              system narrated by Canadian astronaut Julie Payette, find out
              why astronauts float in space and launch a spacecraft to
              Saturn.
