WHAT: Students at Bedford Park Public School have raised one million
pennies in support of The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
The students will be presenting the one million pennies at a
presentation to Children's Wish at a special school assembly.
The amount raised, $10,000, will go towards granting a wish for
a special child.
Last September a devoted and respected teacher of the school,
Kristen Clutterbuck, sadly passed away from cancer at the age of
33. The students, teachers, parents and her friends have
embarked on a Million Penny campaign. Their hope and wish was to
collect one million pennies to be donated to Children's Wish in

Established in 1984, The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada is a
national non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling a favorite wish for
children diagnosed with high-risk, life-threatening illnesses. Since its
inception, Children's Wish has granted close to 14,000 wishes for children and
their families and fulfills approximately 900 wishes annually -- each being an
