Trillium Gift of Life Network kicks-off National Organ and Tissue
Donation Awareness Week with launch of first-ever youth campaign, for
youth by youth
TORONTO, April 16 /CNW/ - Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN) is
launching its first-ever advertising campaign directed at youth, aged 15-24 to
raise awareness about the serious need for organ and tissue donors in Ontario.
The bold, new province-wide campaign is set to launch April 20, 2009, during
National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week (NOTDAW).
In an effort to highlight the issues and answer the questions most
important to young Ontarians surrounding organ and tissue donation, TGLN
engaged a youth advisory panel to help develop this hard-hitting campaign
which includes a new website, social media, transit and online ads as well as
wild postings. It's ultimate objective is to save more lives by increasing the
numbers of Ontarians who register consent to organ and tissue donation. The
campaign is designed to get youth thinking, talking and mobilized around organ
and tissue donation by highlighting the dire need for organ and tissue donors.
Media are invited to attend the launch.
When: Monday, April 20th, 2008, 9:30 a.m.
Where: Great Hall Gallery
1087 Queen St. W. (Queen & Dovercourt)
