/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - News Conference - Wednesday, March 5th - 10 am - IBC announces campaign to help consumers become more insurance savvy/

Many policyholders don't know how to protect possessions in case of
    disaster

    TORONTO, March 3 /CNW/ -

WHAT: Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) will announce the details of a
national consumer education campaign designed to help Canadians
ensure they have the proper coverage and make it easier to file a
claim for damages or losses. Key findings of a new survey on
Canadians' knowledge of home, auto and business insurance will
           also be released.

WHY: Insurance is an essential product that protects policyholders in
times of need. But many Canadians don't understand what they're
paying for - and how much they have to lose should disaster
strike. The IBC campaign will make it easy for consumers to become
more 'insurance savvy' by addressing the gaps in consumer
           knowledge.

WHO: In attendance will be Mark Yakabuski, President & CEO, IBC; Mary
Lou O'Reilly, Vice-President, Public Affairs & Marketing, IBC; and
           Angela Marzolini, Vice-Chairman, POLLARA.

    Wednesday, March 5
    10 a.m.

allow Canadians to compile an inventory of their possessions.

    will also be a satellite feed on March 5 from 2 p.m. - 2.30 p.m. Playout
