    The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) to announce its
    Election 2008 Platform

    OTTAWA, Sept. 16 /CNW Telbec/ - The Federation of Canadian Municipalities
(FCM), the national voice of municipal governments in Canada, will unveil its
Election 2008 Platform at a news conference led by FCM President Jean Perrault
at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008.

    
    WHAT:   FCM President Jean Perrault, Mayor of Sherbrooke, will release
            FCM's Election 2008 Platform to unveil key bread-and-butter
            election issues and proposed solutions.

    WHEN:   11:00 a.m. EDT, Thursday, Sept.18
