Foundation and Kiewit Energy to announce plans for Exile Island - Alberta
CALGARY, June 19 /CNW/ -
WHAT: The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada has reached a milestone.
Having never refused a wish since its inception 25 years ago, the
national non-profit wish granting organization will grant a
special wish on Monday to seven year-old Sarah from Calgary.
Sarah, who has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect,
underwent heart transplant surgery two years ago. Roary the Lion,
along with David Claggett of Kiewit Energy, will meet Sarah to
discuss her wish to meet Miley Cyrus and present her with some
Hannah Montana swag to start the countdown.
In recognition of her wish, Kiewit Energy will be inviting Sarah
to become the Honorary Chair for Exile Island - Alberta. This
fundraising event is being held on September 11 in Calgary where
tribes of 10 people will compete in pledge raising and classic
challenges to become Alberta's ultimate survivor. That day each
tribe will also grant the wish of a child diagnosed with a life

Established in 1984, The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada is a
national non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling a favorite wish for
children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. Since its inception,
Children's Wish has granted 15,000 wishes for children and their families and
