RIMOUSKI, QC, Feb. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honourable Jean-Pierre
Blackburn, Minister of Labour and Minister of Canada Economic Development,
will take the opportunity while addressing members and guests of the Chambre
de commerce et de l'industrie Rimouski-Neigette to report on the recent
recommendations of the Bas-Saint-Laurent Advisory Committee. These
recommendations will serve to guide the Minister in developing new initiatives
or enhancing existing measures in support of Quebec's regions.
This Advisory Committee was given the mandate to conduct a diagnosis of
the economic situation in the region and advise Canada Economic Development
and its Minister on the directions and priorities that should be adopted to
further the region's development.
