Rogers Hi-Speed Internet: The Fastest and Most Reliable. Period.
TORONTO, Aug. 13 /CNW/ - Gone are the days of waiting for hours to
download your favourite tunes and videos, Rogers Cable Communications Inc.
today announced that independent research firm comScore Inc. has found Rogers
Hi-Speed Internet speeds the fastest and most reliable for residential
customers in the Greater Toronto Area.(1)
"The way we use the Internet has changed and it's no longer a case of
simply using email," said Phil Hartling, Vice President, Consumer Services,
Rogers Cable. "Canadians are increasingly spending more time online -
averaging over 15 hours each week(2) - and are relying on the Internet for all
their communications needs: downloading photos, live video streaming and web
conferencing. Having a fast Internet connection is key to ensuring our
customers can do more while they're online."
As a result of the increasing demand for bandwidth and fast delivery of
content, Rogers continues to build, maintain and future-proof its network in
order to ensure the greatest Internet performance and online experience for
its customers. In the past ten years, Rogers has invested in excess of $1
billion into the network to enhance bandwidth capabilities and deliver
customers greater options for Internet packages.
Extensive research was completed within the Greater Toronto Area over a
four month period from 18 January 2008 until 31 May 2008, with over 120,000
network speed tests conducted. The results from the tests show that Rogers
Hi-Speed Internet delivers faster speeds across all service tiers when
compared to the competition.

500Kbps and a usage allowance of 2GB per month
