Punjab Police to Receive SDI's Lektrox Less Than Lethal Ammunition

TORONTO, July 2 /CNW/ -- Security Devices International, Inc. (OTC
Bulletin Board: SDEV) ("SDI"), a defense technology company specializing in
the creation of less than lethal ammunition solutions, announced today that it
has received a request for its innovative less than lethal advanced Lektrox
Wireless Electric Bullet ammunition from the Police of Punjab, Chandigarh,
India.
The request, received directly from the office of the Punjabi Police
Director General, asks for ammunition in sufficient quantities to carry out
in-depth performance trials with Punjab's existing equipment and
infrastructure.
"This is another major breakthrough for the Company," said SDI CEO,
Sheldon Kales, who was in charge of the negotiations with the Punjabis. "We
initiated marketing efforts to select armed forces. We are pleased to see the
positive market response, not only initial interest from major armed forces,
but also now in the field of law enforcement."
Mr. Kales added that this request is in line with the Company's
anticipated opening of production facilities in Israel; facilities that, when
fully operational, will produce Lektrox projectiles in necessary quantities
for demonstration and testing.
With a population exceeding 24 million inhabitants and over 160,000
police officers, the Company is optimistic in establishing the foundation for
a continuing relationship with the Offices of the Director General of Police,
Punjab, Chandigarh.
