Pulse announces review of strategic alternatives for its LiDAR business unit

    TSX:PSD

CALGARY, March 5 /CNW/ - Pulse Data Inc. ("Pulse" or the "Company")
announces that it has initiated a process to evaluate strategic alternatives
for its LiDAR business segment, which operates under the name of Terrapoint.
Ken MacDonald, President and CEO of Pulse stated, "While Terrapoint is a world
leader in the field of LiDAR technology, our management and board have
concluded that this business is not strategic to Pulse. Our objective is to
allow Pulse to focus on its core seismic business and to find a solution for
Terrapoint that will allow it to accelerate development of its LiDAR
solutions, products and technologies on a worldwide basis."

Pulse is a Calgary-based company with two operating units: Pulse Seismic
which specializes in acquiring, marketing and licensing seismic data to the
western Canadian energy sector, and Terrapoint which focuses on acquisitions
and processing of digital elevation and image data (also referred to as LiDAR)
to diverse markets. Through these two operating units, Pulse Seismic and
Terrapoint, the Company has evolved into an industry leader providing Better
Information Faster(TM).
Pulse trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol PSD.
