MONTREAL, Feb. 1 /CNW/ - As the severe winter storm announced for today
continues to make itself felt throughout much of the Windsor to Québec City
corridor, VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers that while many trains
are sold out, some space remains.
VIA had added capacity to its train operations for today to accommodate
increased demand, and much of this capacity has now been filled.
The following services are currently sold out:
- Toronto to Montréal
- Toronto to Ottawa
- Toronto to Windsor
- Windsor to Toronto (Limited availability in both classes of
- Ottawa to Toronto
- Montréal - Toronto (VIA 1 sold out, limited comfort class
- Ottawa-Montréal-Ottawa (Good availability in both classes of
- Montréal-Québec City
- Quebec City - Montreal (VIA 1 sold out, limited comfort class
VIA operates some 60 trains per day throughout the Windsor-Québec City
Corridor. Despite the heavy snowfall warnings, VIA Rail wishes to advise
travellers that all trains are operating.
