Proginet Introduces CFI Commerce Server(TM), Broadens Scope of Company's B2B Offering

GARDEN CITY, N.Y., March 29 /CNW/ - Proginet Corporation (OTCBB: PRGF),
developer of enterprise security software, today announced the availability of
CFI Commerce Server(TM), a fully-featured EDI (electronic data interchange)
solution that enables organizations to dramatically reduce processing costs
when exchanging business and transaction documents with suppliers and trading
partners.

Proginet's Commerce Server enables organizations to shift EDI transaction
processing securely to the Internet, improving overall efficiencies and
eliminating the need for costly dedicated connections, such as value-added
networks (VANs) or lease lines. VANs have been long recognized as sources of
major expense in the B2B community, and are no longer an option for many
organizations. With virtually all major companies doing some form of EDI, the
number of transactions processed by a large organization can quickly add up to
hundreds of millions annually. Transitioning EDI from VANs and dedicated
connections to the Internet can save potentially millions of dollars per year
for these organizations.

"EDI is a significant means of inter-enterprise integration," stated
Kevin Bohan, Proginet's Chief Information Officer, "and that's likely to
continue for the foreseeable future. Commerce Server, therefore, represents
the next logical step in the evolution of EDI. The Internet will revolutionize
EDI processing, and Commerce Server is at the forefront, uniquely
comprehensive in its ability to address Internet EDI transaction-processing
requirements. By transitioning their EDI initiatives to the Internet,
organizations can drive down operational costs, and eliminate costly VANs and
lease lines."

"The introduction of Commerce Server represents a significant opportunity
for Proginet, opening up another whole market segment for the Company's
solutions," said Kevin M. Kelly, Proginet's President and CEO. "Industry
analysts cite the Internet EDI software market at more than $300 million
annually, with double-digit annual growth projected going forward. Companies
choosing Commerce Server can expect to reduce their transaction costs by
40%-70%, which represents a compelling business case for most organizations.
And because Commerce Server opens additional entry points, we envision being
able to cross-sell CFI's other enterprise components within both new and
existing accounts and market segments."

    About Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

EDI is a structured data standard used in many vertical industries,
including financial services, manufacturing, retail, and healthcare claims
processing. The standard is based on a common language for formatting business
transactions, and facilitates business-to-business (B2B) integration through
the flow of standardized electronic documents between businesses and their
trading partners. Forrester Research reports that half a million organizations
in the United States are using EDI.
