BAIE D'URFE, QC, Feb. 27 /CNW Telbec/ - Prestige Telecom Inc. ("Prestige"
or the "Company") (TSX:V-PR) of Montréal, Québec, a leader in providing
engineering, materials furnishing, installation and support services (commonly
referred to as EF&I services), as well as technical and aerial services to the
Canadian communications and broadcast industries announced today that Mr. Jack
Pulkinen has been appointed to succeed Mr. Michel Brunet as the Company's
Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Pulkinen will become a key member of the
Company's executive team and will participate in overall corporate strategic
planning. Mr. Pulkinen will report to Mr. Pierre Yves Méthot, Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer for Prestige.
Mr. Brunet, who joined Prestige in 2004 is retiring to spend more time
with his family and pursue other personal interests. During his stay at
Prestige, Mr. Brunet has proved to be instrumental in the company's success
and over the years has built a strong finance organization. Mr. Brunet was a
key member of the recent acquisition of Radian Communication Services (Canada)
Previously to joining Prestige, Mr. Pulkinen served as the President and
CEO of Radian since 2004. At Radian, he was responsible for the development of
the Company's turnaround strategy and its eventual sale.
Prior to Radian, Mr. Pulkinen had an 11 year career with Alcatel. Mr.
Pulkinen is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from
the University of Windsor.
