TORONTO, Oct. 23 /CNW/ - JA Canada(TM) is excited to announce the next
generation of middle school programs, now available in French for the first
time. The expansion of ESIS: Economics for Success and Dollars With Sense was
made possible by Farm Credit Canada (FCC) who was essential for providing the
resources necessary to sponsor the translations of the program materials and
Junior Achievement plays an important role in developing Canada's future,
by providing the tools and programs needed to help build a productive
workforce, encourage business leadership and inspire entrepreneurs. JA
provides "best in class" educational programs for students across Canada. JA
programs are delivered in/outside the classroom with business volunteers -
therefore bringing a "real world" experience into the learning environment.
"Farm Credit Canada understands the importance of education and
mentorship of Canada's youth by offering these two programs in Canada's
official second language. FCC has been crucial to the support of JA
curriculum development by providing the necessary resources enabling us
to expand the reach of these programs to French-speaking classrooms
across the country."
- Stephen Ashworth, Vice President of Education,
"Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is proud to support Junior Achievement. At FCC,
we care about giving back to communities where our customers and
employees live and work. As a bilingual corporation, we know the
importance of offering programs and resources in both official languages.
That's why we are honoured that FCC's investment will now make Junior
Achievement's middle school programs available to French-speaking
students across Canada."
- Kellie Garrett, Senior Vice-President, Strategy,
Knowledge and Reputation, Farm Credit Canada
ESIS: Economics for Success and Dollars With Sense are Junior
Achievement's most widely delivered programs, reaching over 150,000 students
across Canada. These programs have a high impact in keeping students in school
so that they can realize their full potential. Now, with the support and
contribution of Farm Credit Canada we are expanding the JA vision inspiring
more French youth to achieve their dreams.
