MONTREAL, Sept. 13 /CNW Telbec/ -
You are cordially invited to the exclusive unveiling of
"Lumen-Essence", Team Montreal's solar activated house. We
will be the only Canadian team among twenty to participate in
this year's international competition being held in
Washington DC this fall.
Team Montréal : a consortium of students from three universities.
Our team is composed of; students from the engineering program
at Ecole de Technologie Supérieure (ETS), students from the
architectural and design program at McGill University and
Université de Montréal. They have, in an integrated fashion
conceived a house that is not only attractive and distinctive from an
architectural point but also highly energy efficient.
The Solar Decathlon is an initiative of the Department of
Energy US - DOE- and will be held this coming October in Washington.
We are also proud to announce that the house will then come back to
Montreal to be reconstructed at Environment Canada's Biosphere.
"Lumen-Essence" will then be made available to general public for
the next upcoming five years.
"Lumen-Essence": the present working together towards the future!
Innovation, creativity and genius all integrated in one to protect
and preserve a better environment.
You will be the first to visualise our home during a press
conference followed by guided tours. You must capture this unique
