Premier to announce Alberta's plans for the 2010 Winter Games



    EDMONTON, Jan. 21 /CNW/ - Premier Ed Stelmach and David Guscott,
executive vice president with the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010
Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC), will be signing an accord that
lays out Alberta's cooperation with the 2010 Winter Games, taking place in
Vancouver and Whistler.

    Following the announcement, Premier Stelmach will be opening the 2008
World Cup of Cross Country Skiing. This will take place at 11 a.m. in the
stadium area of the nordic centre.
