Fueled by rapid U.S. growth, Phreesia to double in size creating 50 new
high tech positions
OTTAWA, May 19 /CNW/ -- Phreesia, the Patient Check-In Company(TM), has
announced a major expansion of their Ottawa Operations Centre with plans to
double in size, creating 50 new high-tech positions in the coming months.
With headquarters in New York City, and USD $25 million in venture
capital, Phreesia is transforming the way patients check-in at doctors'
offices across the United States. Phreesia's innovative wireless PhreesiaPad
automates patient check-in while eliminating outdated paper forms and reducing
healthcare costs -- a major mandate of President Obama's new administration.
Phreesia opened the Ottawa Operations Centre in October 2007 and recently
celebrated hiring their 50th employee. In late 2008, Phreesia relocated to a
15,000 sq. foot office space at 1 Hines Road in Kanata to support the rapid
expansion and planned new hires.
While the marketing, finance and development departments are based in New
York City, the Ottawa Operations Centre is critical to the company's success,
as it is responsible for recruiting and supporting thousands of physicians
across 49 states. Ottawa job openings include account managers, practice
analysts, tech support specialists, experience coordinators as well as
Chaim Indig, Phreesia's CEO and co-founder, commented, "Having been part
of several successful startups in the Ottawa area, I know first-hand the
quality of the tech talent in the region. That's why we continue to invest and
grow our business here." A Canadian who attended Carleton University, Mr.
Indig was recently recognized by Business Week Magazine and Inc.com as one of
their top young entrepreneurs.
"Phreesia is the best place to work in Ottawa right now and a fantastic
first job for new and recent graduates. While we all work hard and we're
goal-oriented, we temper that with plenty of opportunity for advancement,
great training, and a lively social environment," Indig said.
Phreesia is the patient check-in company. Phreesia automates patient
check-in and delivers fully interactive content direct-to-patients, designed
to interface with physicians' existing and future technology. Replacing the
traditional patient clipboard with a wireless touch-screen and swipe-card
enabled PhreesiaPad significantly improves the patient experience. Phreesia is
backed by premier venture capital firms and draws on the expertise of a
leading Medical Advisory Board. For more information please visit
