BURNABY, BC, June 4 /CNW/ - Photon Control Inc. ("Photon") (TSX V: PHO)
is pleased to announce that Mr. David Dueck has been elected as Chairman of
the Board with immediate effect. Mr. Dueck has been a Director of Photon for a
number of years and most recently has served as its Lead Director and a member
of the Audit Committee. Mr. Dueck replaces Mr. Robert Blair who served for
eight years as Chairman and President of Photon and has resigned from these
positions due to health reasons.
"We want to thank Robert Blair for his many years of dedicated service
and we are pleased that Robert will continue with the Company as a member of
the Board of Directors and significant shareholder," commented David Dueck.
Photon also wishes to announce the appointment of Michael Weston as
Interim President. Mr. Weston was recently appointed to the Board of Directors
(News Release dated April 15, 2008) and will serve in this position until a
full-time President is identified.
Dr. Ivan Melnyk elected to step down from his role as Acting President
and as a Director of Photon and will continue as Senior Vice-President and
Chief Technology Officer. This will enable Dr. Melnyk to focus on managing the
operations of Photon in conjunction with Mr. Weston and the Company's

Photon also advises that due to Board and management changes, the
Company's Annual General Meeting which is traditionally held in late June is
being re-scheduled and will be held in early September, 2008.
