Photo/Interview Opportunity - Edmonton girl uses words to build Calgary home



    CALGARY, AB, Jan. 31 /CNW/ - A donation from a grade 6 student from
Edmonton will help an underprivileged family in Calgary get a home of their
own.
    Marissa Nahirney has been named a winner in the Genworth Financial-
Habitat for Humanity Meaning of Home contest - a national writing contest that
received over 1,900 entries.
    The prize? Marissa helps a deserving family get a home of their own by
dedicating a $5,000 grant, sponsored by Genworth Financial Canada, to a
Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Canada. Marissa chose Habitat for Humanity
Calgary as the recipient.
    In a ceremony on Friday, February 1st, the $5,000 grant will be dedicated
to the current build site of Sheftel Court in Calgary. The Homeowner family
will attend the ceremony and Marissa's touching story will be read during the
cheque presentation.
