TORONTO, June 5 /CNW/ -
They are among the most prominent Canadian race-car drivers. They are
also co-ambassadors for this year's Victory Lap program in support of
Children's Miracle Network, which raises funds for 14 children's hospitals,
and has helped millions of Canadian children.
Alex Tagliani and Andrew Ranger will make a pit stop at Wal-Mart located
at 9717 21st Ave. on June 5 for an autograph-signing session and to
participate in the launch of a Victory Lap-connected fundraising campaign in
select Wal-Mart stores. It's a unique initiative in which consumers can buy
specially discounted tickets to the 2007 Grand Prix of Edmonton - with
Wal-Mart donating $18 of each ticket sold to Children's Miracle Network.
At this time, Alex and Andrew will also be available to discuss their two
passions - racing and raising funds for Children's Miracle Network to improve
the lives of children courageously battling illness.
As an added bonus, Grand Prix of Edmonton promotional staff will be
onsite with their trailer and show car to help get consumers revved up about
the upcoming race.
Patients and families from the Stollery Children's Hospital will also be
in attendance and will have the opportunity to meet the drivers.
