EDMONTON, Oct. 17 /CNW/ - You are invited to attend the Edmonton dress
rehearsal of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Northern Alberta Jubilee
Auditorium, located at 11455 - 87 Avenue NW. The company's dancers will be in
full costume, as well as available for interviews.
The dress rehearsal of Christopher Wheeldon's A Midsummer Night's Dream
will run on Thursday, November 6 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Set to Felix Mendelssohn's ethereal score, Wheeldon's magical
interpretation tells the story of mischievous fairies amusing themselves by
playing matchmaker, using magic to mix up the love lives of two human couples.
This hilarious and spellbinding performance will come to life with
highly-crafted sets and over 100 breathtaking costumes. Alberta Ballet
premiered A Midsummer Night's Dream in 2001 and it is returning this season in
response to overwhelming praise from audiences and critics alike.
A Midsummer Night's Dream runs from November 7 to 8 in Edmonton. All
performances feature live orchestral accompaniment by the Edmonton Symphony
