is grateful to Pharmascience for being their top donor of medicines in 2008.
The Montreal-based drug company donated more than $7 million in a wide
array of primary care medicines for HPIC's medical aid programs in more than
60 countries. In addition, Pharmascience provided financial support to help
the Canadian medical aid agency run their operations.

Due to the generosity of Pharmascience and the wide assortment of their
donated products, Pharmascience medicines were used across all of HPIC's
programs, including Physician and Dental Travel Packs for Canadian healthcare
professionals going on volunteer trips, bulk shipments for community health
projects with NGO partners in the developing world, and emergency relief
shipments to help earthquake survivors in China, those living in the aftermath
of a cyclone in Myanmar and people infected with cholera in Zimbabwe.
Thousands of children and adults suffering from infections, pain,
diabetes, arthritis, and ulcers received relief thanks to Pharmascience's
