TORONTO, March 14 /CNW/ - Kids Help Phone is pleased to welcome
championship curlers Peter Corner and Wayne Middaugh as official Ambassadors
for Canada's only free, 24-hour, confidential and anonymous phone and web
As Ambassadors, Corner and Middaugh will be encouraging curling clubs
from across Canada to incorporate Kids Help Phone into tournaments and
fundraising events being held throughout the year.
"I am happy to welcome Peter and Wayne to the Kids Help Phone family of
supporters and look forward to working with them," says David Gray, Chair of
Kids Help Phone's Board of Directors. "Their support of Kids Help Phone will
help ensure we can raise the funds and awareness we need to continue being
there for kids all day, every day of the year."
Team Middaugh proudly wear Kids Help Phone's logo on their uniforms. They
are currently one of the only Canadian curling teams working with a charity
and their support, along with that of the curling clubs who choose to take
part in a fundraising event, will continue to help meet the growing demand for
Kids Help Phone's services.
"On the ice, kids can be part of a team, building self esteem and a sense
of accomplishment," says Peter Corner. "Life off the ice can be a bigger
challenge though, and that's why we're proud to be supporting a service like
Kids Help Phone."
Kids Help Phone (www.kidshelpphone.ca; 1-800-668-6868) is Canada's only

Kids Help Phone about every issue imaginable, including physical, sexual and
