CALGARY, June 4 /CNW/ - (TSX.V:PBT, FSE :P5W) Pemberton Energy Ltd.
("Pemberton") is pleased to announce this corporate update. The Company
performed a frac on May 31, 2008 on our 10-15-82-3-W6M well in the lower
Montney zone. Following frac and review of the results it was determined that
two of the four production strings were determined to be oil and two were
determined to be water. After comparing lithology of the drill logs and oil
staining on the perforation gun, management and its team has decided that the
best plan to produce hydrocarbons from this well is to concrete the
perforation and frac that was performed to block off the water, drill out and
re-perforate at a deeper interval, where the oil staining appeared on the
perforation gun, as well as adding an additional 1.5 m to the new perforation
interval. Management feels this technique will allow for better economical
With regards to 6-15 well, Pemberton will be performing a 3.5 m
perforation later this afternoon in the Basal Gething zone. Previous Drill
Stem Test showed gas in the extended gas analysis in this zone. Results of the
perforation will be announced upon becoming available to management.
