PCs Push Panicky Power Policy

TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2011 /CNW/ - Tim Hudak's campaign advisors are in full panic mode after Tim Hudak revealed his plan to increase electricity rates by 44% during the times families use electricity most. According to the Ontario Energy Board, fully 64% of all residential electricity is consumed during off-peak periods.

So panicky are the PCs that they now claim their "leader" got it wrong this morning when he said the following about his pricing plan:

"The flat rate is simply set as an average of the other rates."
(Media scrum, September 19, 2011)

In response, the PC campaign issued a release undercutting Hudak's answer and referring to sections of their platform that simply don't exist.

Nowhere in their platform will you find the option for people to simply "remain on the current flat rate that they are on."
