Pay Linx adds Payments Industry Veteran Robert Pearce to Board of Directors



    EDMONTON, Sept. 2 /CNW/ - Pay Linx Financial Corporation ("Pay Linx" or
the "Company") (TSX-V: PIN), a provider of services and infrastructure
enabling the replacement of cash and cheque payments with electronic payment
cards, today announced that Robert W. Pearce has been appointed to its Board
of Directors.
    Robert Pearce has over 25 years of experience in the financial services
industry. Most recently he was President and CEO of the Personal and
Commercial Client Group at BMO Financial Group. He previously served as
Executive Vice President of Electronic Banking Services, where he had
responsibility for BMO's credit and debit card businesses. While at BMO,
Mr. Pearce co-founded two new businesses: Moneris Solutions Inc., a provider
of electronic payment solutions for merchants; and Partners First Inc., a
US-based credit card business.
    Mr. Pearce was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Interac
Association. He served for seven years on the Board of Directors at MasterCard
International, and was Chair of the Executive Council of the Canadian Bankers
Association.
