Pay By Phone Parking Now Available in London



    New service allows motorists to pay for parking by cell phone

    LONDON, ON, April 8 /CNW/ - London motorists now have a convenient new
payment option when parking in lots operated by Imperial Parking (Impark).
Effective immediately, the Pay by Phone service is available at the over 30
parking lots in London managed by Impark.
    "Impark continues to approach parking and transportation solutions in a
forward thinking manner," says Lloyd Stacey; General Manager for Impark in
London. "The convenience of Pay by Phone, means having change is no longer an
issue, and the text message reminder is a great feature."
    When paying by phone, motorists may also select the option to receive a
text message reminder a few minutes before their time expires, they can then
call back in and add more time to their parking session if required, greatly
reducing the chance of a parking violation.
    To use the service, motorists must first register their cell phone
number, license plate number and Visa/MasterCard number by visiting
www.paybyphone.com or by calling 519 936 9222 from the parking lot. These
details are encrypted and the account is protected by a PIN of their choice.
Once signed up with a FREE pay by phone account, users simply call 519 936
9222 from their cell phone and key in the location number (posted on the meter
or nearby signs) and the amount of parking time desired. The appropriate
total, plus a 35-cent service charge (including the text message reminder
cost), will be charged to their credit card. A history of transactions is then
viewable any time the user logs into their account at www.paybyphone.com.
